Export Activities Award for Landis+Gyr in Greece

The EBEA awards are split into ten categories and are awarded in recognition of a company’s contribution to Greece’s economic and social development. Other EBEA award categories include new entrepreneur and social responsibility.

The Export Activities Award takes into account several aspects of a company’s operating success, including level of exports, exports as a percentage of total sales, and the promotion of new products.

High profile event
Dimitrios Avrampos, Landis+Gyr Managing Director in Greece, attended the awards ceremony, which was held at the Athens concert hall in June. The President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Konstantinos Michalos, and the Greek Minister of Economy and Finance, George Alogoskoufis, also attended the event.

Success in a globalised world
Speaking at the ceremony, Dimitrios Avrampos said: “All of us at Landis+Gyr believe that the Greek industry is able to stand out in an increasingly globalised world and be successful in the extremely competitive cutting-edge technology sector. Landis+Gyr’s 35 years of operation and continuous development in Greece prove that globalization is not a threat to this country – but instead an opportunity.”
